Top EPs 2014
Lastly, I want to make it short and sweet when talking
some great EPs that came out in 2014. Only one sentence for each release.
Unofficially I would have to take Drake into account for all his released
tracks, but just take it as noted now.
10. Auburn Lull – Hiber
The return of Auburn Lull and the return of the truest
form of celestial contemplation. (Full Review Here).
09. Oneohtrix Point Never – Commissions I
Can´t say that Oneo goes mental on this one, he
always is and pushes things further and further on Commissions – Meet Your
Creator.
08. Majid Jordan – A Place Like This
For all the fast moving, slow dancing love-birds, Majid
Jordan soundtrack your heart.
07. Iliketrains – The Christmas Tree EP
(Remaster/Reissue)
Grand reissue of a heart breaking instrumental epic
created by the beatniks of post-rock Iliketrains.
06. Fakear – Sauvage
As the title suggest, French producer Fakear takes you
into the wild with his unique blend of dance beats and world music.
05. Ryan Hemsworth – Alone For The First Time
Ryan Hemsworth is the most varied producers of recent
years and he shines when taking the forefront with a little help from his friends.
04. Swet Shop Boys – Swet Shop Boys EP
Heema and Riz Ahmed break borders of conflict and
hatred to bring you some commentary and glaring beats filled with Asian music
samples and even poet Batalvi singing.
03. Cathedrals – Cathedrals
This electro / dream pop duo will have a big break in
the future - for now just let them entrance you with their neon colored debut.
02. Rainer Veil – New Brutalism
Cold and distant constructions of electronic music,
Rainer Veil continue to drain you.
01. Junius – Days Of The Fallen Sun
Junius are the only ones who can destroy the whole
world in an EP and sound as dangerously catastrophic and glaringly hopeful as
they do on Days of The Fallen Sun.
