Moving on from Transcendental Black Metal he graces us with Transcendental Qabala (?). On “Ontological Love” there is the distinct immediacy of Liturgy in the completely electronic mindset. The burst beats pushing forward, relentless repetition between breaks and variation. 40. Anna Von Hausswolff – The Miraculous The Miraculous is one dark, brooding organ trip. Shedding almost all the lighter, more uplifting moments of Ceremony , Anna Von Hausswolff creates such a mood, the images of Gothic churches and evil processions don´t even start to capture the feel. While the few longer tracks like “Come Wander With Me / Deliverance” and “The Miraculous” bring out the atmospheric qualities of Hauswolff and her instrument of choice, the short, almost song like tracks, have a much sharper, invocational vibe, putting the lyrics upfront and attacking you with long, drawn out howls. 80. Caspian – Dust & Disquiet ( Dust & Disquiet ) Caspian seem to be one of the few post-rock bands that has no problem in keeping their new output interesting in all the right places. While Waking Season was toying with the idea of vocals, on Dust and Disquiet the bands has pretty much implemented the best parts of this idea into their work. And still, the lengthy closer and title track touches the sublime without any of these new elements. It´s something that would have fitted into their earliest works and yet shows a band that has been honing their craft for years now.
